Sound editing

Sound editing is a very complex form of art. Because in AgnosCinema we are used mostly to focusing on image and character demonstration. But in order to create effective scenes with emotions and actions, we needed good sound.

First of all, we used the Rode Mic which served our needs. But we also had to remix royalty free sounds, to create those original (star wars like) sounds which could only be heard in our movie.

about 80% of the sound heard in the movie is added in post production. Everything from the simplest things like walking sounds to the more complex noises like adlibing effects.

The sound is so essential that you know that once you get started with sound editing, you can just improve more and more.

adlibbing had to be done, in order to enhance every word of dialogue in the movie. Some would consider this cheating (even though it is done all the time in big production Hollywood films).

You would think you can hear added voice over, but the truth is that it is almost impossible to notice. We felt that we wanted to do as much as we could to enhance the scenes.

We will soon show a sound edit clip here, where we demonstrate the effectiveness of a adding good sound to a scene.

The most important aspect of the sounds, is to create original and enhanced sounds that would intensify the experience of the movie. But it is a thin line between and over enhanced sounds. So a certain amount of balance was used. Some sounds were realistic and somewhere over the top.
