Equipment

The equipment we used to make this movie possible was foremost the Canon 600D (also known as the T3i). With a variety of lenses we could get all the shots we needed.

It is a bit of a budget stretch, but on the bright side, the canon 600D shows great image quality at low size and weight. Several interesting lenses work with it, and you can connect lights, microphones and considering the small film crew, the retractible screen was of great help to AgnosCinema.

We used three lenses in this movie. The 18-135mm, which is on the downside when it comes to the much to high F value, but it had image stabilization, which worked great on many gerilla style, running and shaking shots.

We also used the Tamron 18-50, which with a low F value (2,8) could be used, when the sun escaped, and little light was available.

For close up shots, we used the fantastic 50mm, F1,8 lens. which is the cheapest lens, but gives a nice crispy, yet cool bokeh effect.

For better sound we used the rode mic, and sometimes attached a bright led lamp (label Dörr).

We also used the Gopro Hero 3 (black edition), for wide angle shots, and also to film in high speed, so we could get some nice slow motion sequences. But there was a extra bonus use for this camera, we could use it during rainy days, when we didn't want to risk the integrity of the 600D.

Another camera that was used was the Panasonic HC-V 720. Used at first mostly, for steady shots. But was used very frequent in the last 3rd of the movie. The director was surprised with the quality of this camera.

We had two tripods during the filming of the movie. One cheap tripod which was little, and could be used just about all the time. And a more professional Verbon labeled tripod. Which was better, more stabile, but a bit heavy to carry around.
