Making of the movie
It was never about getting famous, or making money. With the idea behind most projects in AgnosCinema, we wanted to make a second full feature movie. We felt that we had learned so much from "the consultant" and wanted to move forward. Our first idea was to reboot the Fruit Wars series. There was even a script for it. But we decided to make a serious movie. Tommy Starsson wrote the script and produced the movie.
The story is very dark and gritty, Tommy Starsson explains. The movie is to be regarded as something serious and scary. There is no funny moments, quotes or hardly any smiles in the movie.
The movie works as a catalyst for war, and our great fear for a 3rd world war. It is about that little glimse of light in the vast space of darkness. What fear will make you do, and what the instincts for survival will decide for you if you let it.
As far as inspiration goes, the list is long. Movies like Predator, Apocalypse now and Platoon came to mind when writing the script.
But instead of stealing or borrowing, certain elements work as homages to the great war movies of the past.
